Cake Batter

Elijah helped clean up while I made a cake for Grammie & Grampa's birthday party. Yes, he is licking the batter of the beaters. Because that is the kind of Mom I am.

Ooops, missed a spot...

Don't worry; I've got it!

Bubbles with Lily

Elijah visited a new playground and saw bubbles all in one day! His enthusiasm far exceeds Lily's mild reaction. Elijah was also way more into snacks than Lily that day - his, Lily's, and the self-controlled child's whose mother gave him the WHOLE BAG OF GOLDFISH to eat. Elijah kept walking over to the bag, peering in, then looking around to see if anyone would catch him steal this child's treats.

Like mother, like son I suppose. I once pinched my kindergarten classmate until she gave me her gummy bears. Sad, but true.

Packing

This is pretty much how it went the first few days. As you can see, the boys were really a huge help....

Momma Uses Clippers

Elijah needed a haircut. Why pay for one? We have clippers.

How do you encourage your children to save their own money?

Sometimes Terrible Things Happen

Hives, for instance. This round went on for several days and was accompanied by extreme nausea and lots of vomiting (thanks to this little bundle of joy, currently in utero). After being threatened with the statement, "You might just have these off and on through your whole pregnancy," I am extremely thankful to have been given a reprieve from the itching/burning craziness.

Any thoughts on what could have caused this? Before you answer, a little history:
- Diagnosed with "Chronic Hives" in childhood
- Underwent numerous allergy tests, which only served to diagnose a mild allergy to dog fennel
- Had an emergency appendectomy in 1997
- Never had hives again until this pregnancy

I am seriously hoping to avoid getting these again, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
