Working

One of the jobs we save for the end of packing is taking the crib down. Eric has the hang of it now, but our first assembly of it was a doozy. That was done before any babies emerged...this take-down was done with one handy helper.

Tent Action

Haven, all dressed up for church and oh-so-happy: Then the tent action began: Even Mombo got involved, to the great delight of our little Millard.

Welcome Baby Rowan!

The email I sent to our church on January 8th:
Bobby and Elysia are very happy to let you all know that
Charlotte Rowan Mosteller was born this morning at 4:25 AM, weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces.
Momma and baby are doing exceptionally well.
Praise the Lord with them for His good, tiny, and wonderfully sweet little blessing!
Bobby and Elysia will gladly receive visitors once they have settled in at home.
It was such a treat to be with Elysia during this time! Elysia was amazing and totally showed me what a wimp I am while in labor!

Haven celebrated her new friends arrival by doing some Pilates moves.

January's Snow

Out of the Mouth of Babes

L: "Elijah, what should we name the new baby? Let's talk about that." {sitting down on bed with Elijah, who was refusing to take a Sunday nap}

E: "Cheesy Graves New Baby. Yeah. I like that."

L: "Ummm. I don't think that's appropriate. What else?"

E: "Millard Graves New Baby. That's good Momma. I like that name."

In Which Elijah Wears High Heels

(outside, without asking)
It was the wonderful noise they made which so intrigued him.

A Graves Family Christmas

The Graves Family Christmas had to be moved to the 2nd floor in order to accommodate all the presents and a few new additions (Elijah, Luke, & Haven).Pocket hand sanitizer wasn't exactly a gift for Haven, but she certainly enjoyed it the most that day.I am still enjoying this delicious coffee!New bows!New books!A new dog!More books! The Peter Rabbit crib skirt I've been looking for at least three years! {Eeek - after a quick search just now I noticed Pottery Barn is no longer carrying the bumper pad! Yikes! I'll welcome any help or tips at locating one!}Cowboy Elijah with a new rifle gun!Cowboy Elijah with his pistol gun!Their first Christmas! We are so thankful to have lots of family with whom to share these special times!
...and thus we close 2009...
