A Graves Family Thanksgiving

This year we had two new babies for whom to be thankful: Luke & Haven. And, my goodness, are we thankful for them!!!Elijah got cozy, probably reading "Ben the Baker." Haven got cozy enough for a nap.Yum! A Thanksgiving feast prepared by Grammie and shared with Uncle David!This girl ate her fair share of holiday food~:-)Sweet Luke's bib reflected the common Thanksgiving sentiment, "I'm stuffed!" Love this family!

Veteran's Day 2009

We are seeking to raise children who will be thankful for the sacrifice others (including many of their close relations) have made on their behalf. Oh, how I hope we are a thankful family; not a family who assumes things are rightfully owed to us. So, we went to the Veteran's Day Parade to honor the living and the dead soldiers who have fought for the freedoms we are currently enjoying.This picture makes me laugh: Abiel picking his nose; Haven craning to see.The clown was really friendly. Elijah vacillated between wanting to touch him and being frightened. Alexis had no fear.Even Mrs. Robin was there! Haven was proud to cheer on the soldiers with her patriotic bow!
Elijah was happy to see Cousin Luke! Our friends Elijah & Mrs. Amy came. The kids all enjoyed waving their little flags, clapping, and letting us know what was coming next. Elijah gets his own hug from the clown. Many thanks to all our veterans!

A Bath, A Song, A Swingset, & A Field

Time sure does fly:
- Haven no longer uses baby bath towels;
- Elijah can now sing a bit more of that song; and
- Our dear field has now become a parking lot.

Hand Me Downs

Our friend, Geneva, passed along this great little Mother Goose outfit. I'm not sure to what generation it really belongs, but I thought it was so cute in 2009!

Playdate

Elijah was happy to recruit Abiel as his fellow drummer. Haven was only slightly overwhelmed by the chaos.
